Devolin may refer to either...

Star

Devolin is a single star within Sector 1607, and within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant. The sector is the 1,607th sector explored by Humans originating from Earth.

The star is approximately 90.7 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 7.9, and its absolute visual magnitude is 5.7, making it only about 23/50ths as bright as Sol. It is a blue subdwarf with a stellar classification of A8 and an average temperature of about 9,625 degrees Kelvin. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)

The star emits ionizing radiation.

Planetary System

The Devolin star hosts an uninhabited asteroid belt. Asteroids within the Devolin system include Alpha 331, Beta 671, and Gamma 601.

Circa Stardate 15800, Captain Erik Pressmam, of the U.S.S. Pegasus, NCC-53847, survived the apparent destruction of his starship in Sector 1607. Survivors included Ensign William T. Riker. However, rather than suffer complete destruction, the Pegasus drifted into the Devolin asteroid belt where it eventually ran aground.

Later, circa Stardate 17000, Commander Sirol, of the Romulan D’deridex class warbird, Terix, discovered debris in the Devolin asteroid belt. The debris identified the U.S.S. Pegasus, NCC-53847, and Commander Sirol began to search for the wreck. Consequently, Admiral Erik Pressman rendezvoused with Captain Jean-Luc Picard, of the U.S.S. Enterprise, and his First Officer, Commander William T. Riker, to compete against Commander Sirol’s effort to search for the wreck and salvage it first. Admiral Pressman searched through a number of asteroids, including Gamma 601, where he discovered the wreck of the Pegasus and salvaged an illegal, and unique, cloaking device from it.
