Personal History
Lyirru was born into a powerful family. Her father is the governor of Khazara Prime, and many of her distant relations serve in prestigious posts throughout the Empire. Growing up, she was close with her twin cousins, Imina and Ussi Liun, as they were born in the same year as Lyirru. Unlike her older sister Taleria, who was always drawn to the prestige of associating with the powerful elements of the Empire, Lyirru was drawn towards practical service. She spent time volunteering, with her cousins, with various groups dedicated to maintaining the aesthetically pleasant, if not always economically wealthy, standards of living on Khazara Prime.
Upon completing school, Lyirru chose to make a more meaningful contribution to the Empire, and joined the Galae s'Shiar. Her high marks in school, and well connected family, ensured her admission to the Phi'lasasam. In her second year at the Phi'lasasam, her naturally black hair prematurely grayed, and turned silver. At first, this earned her the contempt of both her peers and her instructors, but after medical examinations revealed no genetic defects, her instructors eased with their displays of distaste. Her excellent marks and her increased efforts also won back some of the respect she had lost form her instructors and some of her peers.
After graduating from the Phi'lasasam, Lyirru spent another year taking advanced training in Xeno-Linguistics and Communications Encryption/Decryption. She master both Federation Standard and Klingon, and learned the Gorn language well enough to decipher battlefield communications. She was then assigned to Hdrael 41 as a communications analyst and operations officer. As losses began mounting in the wake of the invasion of the Federation, Lyirru was reassigned to the RIS Shadowhawk.

She knows what it is like to be ostracized for being different, and tries to be open-minded when she encounters individuals who are different than the social norm, and to accept them on their worth to society and accomplishment. Role Model: Her father; he served in the Khhiu'draao s'Shiar (Imperial Land Army) during the Dominion War and the First Romulan-Federation War. He later served in the Rei'kara (Imperial Legion), until he retired from military service, and went into politics. He set the example of meaningful service to the Empire that she has followed her whole life
