Star
Forcas is a single star within the Brikar Frontier Sector, and within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant.
The star is approximately 133.1 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 7.4, and its absolute visual magnitude is 4.3, making it about 1 and 3/5ths brighter than Sol.
It is an orange main sequence “dwarf” with a stellar classification of K2 and an average temperature of about 4,075 degrees Kelvin. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)
Planetary System
The Forcas star hosts an inhabited planetary system with no less than three planets. Forcas III is the third planet within the planetary system. Its inhabitants are members of the Klingon Empire.
While returning home after competing in a bat’leth tournament held on Forcas III, circa Stardate 17000, Lieutenant Worf traversed a spatial anomaly, and experienced a number of parallel universess before finally returning home.
Circa Stardate 17100, the United Federation of Planets permitted import of a new drink from Forcas III, even permitting its consumption aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise.
The android Lieutenant Commander Data was thrilled to experience a new emotion because of tasting the new drink; namely, he hated it.
