Personal History
Gem’lia was born on Andoria. Her parents, Sharpin and Tele had only the one child, Gem‘lia. Sharpin had been a wealthy man, and through most of Gem’lia’s youth she wanted for very little. At the age of 16, she became a model for a highly popular holo-vid on Andoria. Due to a genetic trace in her father’s DNA, Gem’lia’s skin tone is a very pale blue. This look made her very popular and sought after. She continued on this path for the next two years, gaining fame and continuing to live a very lavish lifestyle.
Upon her 18th birthday, after advice from her parents, she enrolled in the Diplomatic core, following in the footsteps of her mother. However she soon became bored with this career path and quit. Over the next few years Gem’lia lived off her family wealth, considered by many to be spoilt and not deserving of the fortune she continued to squander.
Gem’lia reached the age of 23 and was off world on an Andorian Pleasure barge when her parents space-yacht was attacked by pirates. Both parents were killed and the yacht stolen. The next two years affected Gem’lia badly. Her grief for her parents caused her to rebel against all Andorian authority. She considered going back to her modelling career, although the faux lifestyle had become monotonous to her. Most people who met Gem’lia instantly took her for one of the pampered self-indulgent aristocrat’s that lived their sheltered lives away from the majority of the Andorian society. She felt, over the years that her only chance to survive was to conform with this attitude. Gem’lia knew that she was worth more, wanted to expand her own knowledge, and to the amazement of many of her friends enlisted with Starfleet.
During her time at the Academy, Gem’lia excelled in her classes. She studied hard and gave very little time over to socialising, realising that for the majority of her adolescence, she had spent too long indulging herself.

Short-Term Goals: Gem’lia does not feel that she has any long or short term goals. Due to her wealth, she does not need to work. However she feels that she is drifting through life, and wishes to find direction.
Personality: Gem’lia is typical for a high born Andorian. She is very confident in her own abilities, and sometimes this comes across as arrogance to others. Due to her personal wealth, she feels that she does not need her career, more it is something to pass the time. She speaks her mind and believes being frank and honest with others is the best policy.

Strengths: Loyalty and honesty.
Weaknesses: Gem’lia can be self obsessed. Following her days of being a model, she knows that she is attractive and sometimes plays upon this to achieve her own ends.
Prejudices: She is conscious of her inbuilt, genetic dislike for Vulcan’s and Human’s. Gem’lia does little to alter this.

Distinguishing Features: Gem’lia has very pale blue skin for an Andorian. This is a genetic trait that has been in her family for generations.
