Star
Seginus is a single star within the Milky Way’s Alpha Quadrant.
The star is approximately 86.8 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 3.0, and its absolute visual magnitude is 0.9, making it about 38 times brighter than Sol. It is a blue giant with a stellar classification of A7 and an average temperature of about 9,375 degrees Kelvin. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)
Planetary System
The Seginus star hosts an inhabited planetary system with no less than two planets. Seginus II is the second planet within the planetary system. Though its inhabitants remain unaffiliated with the Romulan Star Empire, they maintain a friendly relationship with it and its Imperial Fleet.
