A ring system surrounds a planet, planetoid, or asteroid, and is comprised of rings of dust and other small particles orbiting around an object in a flat disc-shaped region.
Fun Facts:
- In 2371, the crew of the USS Voyager discovered a new element in the ring system of a class D planet in the Delta Quadrant.
- The rings of the planet Ba'ku had special metaphasic properties that stopped the aging process for the inhabitants, the Ba'ku.
