Joran Sector
The Joran Sector is a surveyed volume of space within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant. It measures approximately 20 light years by 20 light years by 20 light years; that is, 8,000 cubic light years. The Joran, a sentient species native to Kryn’tor, a planet within the sector, is the origin of the sector’s common name.
Stars and star systems within the Joran Sector include Nasat and R’ek (Kryn’tor).
Before unknown alien forces destroyed the U.S.S. Cook, SC-8015, Stardate 20412.11, its captain and crew had completed a detailed survey of the Joran Sector, including the first preliminary survey of Kryn’tor.
