Y’tem is a star that hosts a planetary system.
Star
Y’tem is a single star within the Pangar Gateway Sector, and within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant.
The star is approximately 140.6 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 12.0, and its absolute visual magnitude is 8.8, making it only about 1/40th as bright as Sol. It is a red main sequence “dwarf” with a stellar classification of M8 and an average temperature of about 3,505 degrees Kelvin. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)
Circa Stardate 17300, a Klingon K’Vort class warship, in service of the Klingon Empire, proudly bore the name Y’tem.
Planetary System
The Y’tem star hosts an inhabited planetary system with no less than one planet. Its inhabitants are members of the Klingon Empire.
Cartography
Star Fleet Cartography’s star chart number fs-sc-7 05 30 900 82 21506.27 depicts the relative position in space of Y’tem, within the Pangar Gateway Sector.
