Earth Outpost 17 is a Federation installation within the Glintara Sector, and within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant. It is the 17th in a series of Earth Outpost Stations now managed by Star Fleet. The outpost is approximately 82.1 light years from Sol (Earth).
After Stardate -16000, Star Fleet installed Earth Outpost 17 to augment its defensive network, which it deployed to guard against a Romulan surprise attack.
