Star System

Brikar is a star system within the Brikar Frontier Sector, is the origin of the sector’s common name, and is within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant.

The star system is approximately 139.2 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 8.6, and its absolute absolute visual magnitude is 5.4, making it only about 3/5ths as bright as Sol. Its primary star is a yellow main sequence “dwarf” with a stellar classification of G5 and an average temperature of about 5,640 degrees Kelvin. The stellar classification of its secondary star is M. Planetary System

The Brikar star system hosts an inhabited planetary system with no less than four planets. Brikar, the fourth planet within the planetary system, and the Brikarian homeworld, is the origin of the star system’s common name. Its inhabitants are members of the United Federation of Planets.
