Most of the entire crew survive, taking refuge in the ship's saucer section, which crash lands on the planet. - Worf is promoted to Lieutenant Commander.
- Captain James T. Kirk emerges from the Nexus and is killed helping Jean-Luc Picard prevent Dr. Soran from destroying the Veridian system.
Deep Space Nine events
- The starship USS Voyager departs Deep Space 9 on a mission to find a Maquis raider.
Both ships are thrown 75,000 light years into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker. - The Maquis member Thomas Riker steals the USS Defiant and uses it to expose a Cardassian military buildup in the Orias system.
- The Bajoran-Cardassian Treaty is signed, sending political shock waves throughout the Alpha Quadrant.
- The Romulan Star Empire sends diplomats to Deep Space 9 to take Star Fleets data on the Dominion, and then destroy the station and wormhole.
