Starbase 84 was a Federation starbase in the Alpha Quadrant, situated near the Romulan Neutral Zone.
It was one of Starfleet's refit and resupply stations, able to hold 12 Galaxy-class and dock 24 Akira-class ships.
The station was supplied by industrial planets for its required dilithium, duranium, pre-built warp cores, and phaser arrays.
It is capable of handling major starship refits, and in 2370, installed a new warp core for the Enterprise-D.
