Mirak is a single star within the Patriarchy Sector, and within the Milky Way’s Alpha Quadrant.

The star is approximately 63.6 light years from Sol (Earth). Its apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 6.8, and its absolute visual magnitude is 5.4, making it only about 6/10ths as bright as Sol. It is a yellow main sequence “dwarf” with a stellar classification of G8 and an average temperature of about 5,880 degrees Kelvin. In fact, it bears a striking resemblance to 61 Ursae Majoris. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)

The star hosts an inhabited planetary system. Along with its planetary system, it is known as Orinth, or simply as the Mirak Homeworld. Its inhabitants are the founding members of the Mirak Star League.

Star Fleet Cartography’s star chart number fs-sc-2 15 29 980 84 21506.05 depicts the relative position in space of Mirak, within the Patriarchy Sector.
