Star

Kzin is a single star within the Patriarchy, and within the Milky Way’s Alpha Quadrant.

The star is approximately 69.8 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 7.1, and its absolute visual magnitude is 5.4, making it only about 3/5ths as bright as Sol. It is a yellow main sequence “dwarf” with a stellar classification of G8 and an average temperature of about 5,880 degrees Kelvin. In fact, it bears a striking resemblance to 61 Ursae Majoris. Planetary System

The Kzin star hosts an inhabited planetary system. Along with its planetary system, it is known as Kzinhome, or simply as the Kzinti Homeworld. Its inhabitants are the founding members of the Kzinti Patriarchy.
