Star

Glintara is a single star within the Glintara Sector, is the origin of the sector’s common name, and is within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant.

The star is approximately 63.5 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 7.7, and its absolute visual magnitude is 6.3, making it only about 27/100ths as bright as Sol. It is a yellow subdwarf with a stellar classification of G0 and an average temperature of about 5,240 degrees Kelvin. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)

Planetary System

The Glintara star hosts an inhabited planetary system with one planet. Glintara, the planet within the planetary system, is the origin of the star’s common name. Its inhabitants are members of the Romulan Star Empire.
