George Samuel Kirk, Sr. was a noted Human Starfleet officer in the 23rd century, father of famed Captain Jim Kirk.
The youngest son of Tiberius Kirk, he had one brother for whom he named his youngest son after.
His paternal grandfather, Samuel Abraham Kirk, served as the ship's historian aboard the USS Pioneer, one of the first Federation Starfleet vessels, in the 2160s.
His paternal grandmother, Valeria Messalina Kirk, served under Captain Malcolm Reed's command on the USS Pioneer as the armory officer.
Kirk served as a Midshipman on the trading ship Alexandria in the 2220s, where he later met and married his wife Winona in 2229. They raised their family where he had grown up, in the state of Iowa in North America.
Their first son, George Samuel Kirk, Jr., was born on August 12, 2230.
Their youngest son, James Tiberius Kirk, was born in 2233.
