Outpost 12 is a Federation installation within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant. It is the 12th in a series of Earth Outpost Stations now managed by Star Fleet. The outpost is approximately 73.6 light years from Sol (Earth).
Star Fleet installed Earth Outpost 12 to augment its defensive network, which it deployed to guard against a Romulan surprise attack.
