Dayos may refer to either...

Star

Dayos is a single star within the Milky Way’s Beta Quadrant.

The star is approximately 143.3 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 10.7, and its absolute visual magnitude is 7.5, making it only about 9/100ths as bright as Sol. It is a yellow subdwarf with a stellar classification of G6 and an average temperature of about 5,720 degrees Kelvin. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)

Planetary System

The Dayos star hosts an inhabited planetary system with no less than four planets. Dayos IV is the fourth planet within the planetary system. Its inhabitants are members of the Klingon Empire.

Circa Stardate 16300, the legendary Klingon warrior, Kang, visited Dayos IV during his quest to avenge the murder of his son, Dax.

Senior Chief Petty Officer Miles O’Brien alias, Connelly, while working on Dayos IV, undercover for Star Fleet Intelligence, circa Stardate 17400, received a stiff two-year prison sentence for handling stolen property.
