"My people have a reputation for arrogance. I'm afraid it's
well earned."

Kimara Cretak was a female Romulan politician, and served as a senator in the Romulan Senate during the late-24th century.

In 2375, Cretak was a firm supporter of the Romulan alliance with the Federation and the Klingons against the Dominion.
She took an active role, and served as the Romulan representative to Deep Space 9. She worked in concert with the other representatives to coordinate fleet deployment and maintenance of Romulan forces in the area.

Historical Significance:

Cretak attended a conference on Romulus, during which several topics were discussed regarding Dominion technology.

During this conference, she was the victim of a Federation Section 31 plot to put Chairman Koval, who was a Romulan informant for the department, on a seat in the "Continuing Committee."

Cretak, who was competing for that position, reluctantly agreed to perform an illegal search on Koval's belongings, which ended in her arrest.

Found guilty of treason, she was dismissed from the Committee altogether, with more severe sentencing to be done at a later date. She would face imprisonment, and possible execution.
