They are often thought of as "unscrupulous" by nature, and are closely genetically related to the Ferengi.
This species, like the Ferengi, have a four-lobed brain structure, as well as an inability to be read by telepaths.
Dopterians also share an unusual resemblance to the Kobheerian species.
While their appearance is almost identical, Dopterians have Ferengi-like noses, and Kobheerians have two large, elongated flat nostrils in the place of a nose.
Their home solar system of Dopteria is a binary star system, made up of two K-class stars.
