Personal History
Cestly was born into a very prominent family. Her mother was a socialite and debutant and her father was a politician. Cestly was raised to be a social debutant like her mother; she went to college at Harvard. Even though she received full honors, her real reason for attending college was to find a husband. Which she did find, marrying Jeffery Wrusher who became a diplomat for the Federation.
Jeffery’s diplomatic posts and missions took them all over the Alpha Quadrant. They never lived in one place for very long. Tragically, Jeffery was killed in a shuttlecraft accident and Cestly found herself a widow. Falling into a mild depression and not knowing what to do, she returned to earth to live with her youngest sister. It was her younger sister who encouraged her older sister to start writing for the local newspaper. Reluctant at first, Cestly finally took her sisters suggestion. After a few successful years, her friends encouraged her to try and write for FNN. After a few months of arm-twisting, Cestly sent in a sample of her writing in to FNN and to her surprise she was hired.
