Personal History

Judith Tucker is the youngest in her family. Her mother and father were hard on their children and even more-so on Judith. They demanded that any of her free time be devoted to school and looked down on any extracurricular pursuits that she attempted. “Attempted” because they would make her quit them if they were not academically beneficial. They did allow her to pursue swimming, because they said it developed fitness better than other sports. Judith excelled in this sport and enjoyed being allowed to participate and even helped her team to win 3 consecutive championships.

Judith's brother, Matthew, and sister, Joanna, graduated at the top of their high school class; Judith only graduated in the top 10 of her class. It wasn't that school was ever really difficult for her, school was just boring. Teachers would tell her that she had more talent than her siblings. Matthew and Joanna were every bit as hard on Judith as their parents were. They drilled her on her class work over and over. Judith tried sneaking out of the house just to go to football games or other school events, so she could have somewhat of a social life. This was put a stop to though, after Matthew found out and told their parents. He told her it was because she needed to focus on her academics first, that there would be time for social activities later. She did have some close high school friends, more from study groups or swimming though. It was these friends who turned Judith onto Star Fleet Academy. They graduated before her and enrolled immediately. They have completed their academy training now. Carol is a helmsman on the USS Challenger, Brian is a engineer on the USS Yorktown, and John is a security officer, but she is unaware of where. Even though her parents never discouraged the academy, they never encouraged Judith to pursue it further. Her parents thought she'd study medicine and would buy birthday gifts hinting towards this dream of theirs.

After graduation from high school, Judith expressed her interest in attending Star Fleet Academy to her parents once again, to which they laughed, thinking she wasn’t serious and telling her that she was only being foolish with her future. They then found out that Judith hadn’t applied for any colleges and went through the roof! Her father wouldn’t talk to her and her mother started sending Judith's grades and test scores to various schools despite Judith's own ambitions. When Judith tried to talk to them about attending the academy, they just ignored her. It was then that Judith decided to move out. She didn’t take many personal items, just enough which would fit in the car. She moved to San Francisco in hopes of getting in to the academy. After meeting some cadets, she determined that she needed to be in much better shape (physically and mentally) than she was. Judith spent the next 2 years preparing myself and finally entered the academy.

Upon graduation from the academy, Judith was assigned to the USS Gettysburg under the command of Captain Torgh. She was able to meet with a few of the crew members before she boarded though, as they had arrived to base for shore leave as she was assigned her commission. It was a hard first mission, as they lost Captain Torgh during a battle for the space station they had been sent to. Judith was assigned to the space station to help retrieve the station’s data. While there, she helped track an engineer that had seemingly lost his mind. While on the Gettysburg’s bridge, she was taken hostage by a species known as Satarrans. She was injured during this confrontation. Afterwards, her doctor pushed her to Counselor Anna, whom Judith thinks is nice, but really only wants to be left alone. Commander Grant took over as the Gettysburg’s CO after Torgh fell. During shore leave, she went skiing, meeting up with several of the others who served on the Gettysburg. Captain Grant surprised her by promoting her to be the Gettysburg’s Chief Science Officer.

Her second mission on the Gettysburg found herself working on a special project for her commanding officer, Captain Grant. Not thinking through all of the ramifications, she continued the project, even seeking help from probably the best science officers aboard the Gettysburg. Due to the new war between the Federation and Romulans, they were involved in an intense battle for Star Base 157. After an unusual time anomaly, the Gettysburg managed to survive the battle. The special project continued, despite other orders. Judith was more interested in the research of what was asked, even wanting to find a cure for her project.

Her third mission found the Gettysburg traveling to the Nehru System, searching for a scientist supposedly creating a biological weapon to be used against the Romulans. It was also during this mission that she met a security officer, Charlie Fitzalan-Howard. They started a friendship that was soon more.

On the way to the Nehru System, Judith had a confrontation with the Chief Medical Officer, Commander Sevala, concerning the project she was researching and if she had destroyed it as ordered. Judith couldn’t pull a lie past the commander and handed Sevala the research, believing that the commander wanted to find a cure too, but unfortunately, the research was deleted. This set Judith on edge and anger that she had never felt before arose. She stormed to Commander Sevala’s office, but unfortunately, Judith cowered at the presence of the commander.

This was a difficult mission for the entire crew, as many of the Gettysburg’s crew became affected with the virus, which transformed them into giant bees. Judith had been assigned to go to the facility, however, for some reason, ended up staying in main science. She has no memory of why she was there or who ordered her to main science. Commander Sevala was able to find a cure for the virus, unfortunately, not before the ship lost over 400 crew.

After the mission, the Gettysburg crew was given a lengthy shore leave. Charlie invited her to his home in England. While she wanted to attend several lectures, she went with him. His home was beautiful. The closer he was to her, the more passion she could feel between them until she couldn’t stand it any longer, finally giving herself to him. They were both invited to go to Greece, to which they accepted, and upon arriving, went to a small village not far from where they were staying. Judith and Charlie ended up being chased throughout the town, for what reason, they knew not. A stranger helped them get away, unfortunately sending them to an odd universe. They heard tales from strangers concerning the use of a virus and needed Judith’s help to find a cure. The mere mention of another biological virus almost sent Judith into hysterics. During this time, Judith met another gentleman, which served to only confuse her feelings for Charlie. After finding the cure for this other universe, Charlie and Judith were able to return home. After their time together, she caught up on some studies and met with Admiral Grant.

After being recalled back to the ship and briefed on their next mission, Judith reported to her new doctor, Commander Sevala for her annual check-up. It was during this check-up that Judith discovered she was pregnant with twins. This threw Judith for a loop and sent her emotions out of control, as she wanted to slow things down with Charlie. Moving so fast scared her. Before she could deal with anything, they were facing three Romulan vessels with a nebula that they could not register any details. Once again, the Gettysburg was rocked hard, just as they had been during the battle for Starbase 157, unfortunately there was no anomaly to save them this time. As the battle was subsiding, the ships were caught by the nebula, bringing them through and to another point in space.

While assigned to the Gettysburg, Judith gave birth to two sons; however, one was born stillborn. This took a lot out of Judith, though she never acknowledged it. She threw everything she could into being the ship’s department head and mother of her son Charles Joshua or CJ for short. Shore leave was spent with Charlie. She enjoyed it for the most part, though it did have its moments of tension, especially when her orders to join the USS Nova came while none came through for Charlie. She was disappointed that they wouldn’t be together. She’d worked hard on being a mother and possible wife during shore leave. Being reassigned to the Nova wasn’t something she would have picked right off had she been asked. It was a much larger vessel than the Gettysburg, which drove Judith’s nerves out of control. Fortunately, because of its size, it was more conducive for raising a family. After much deliberation, Judith chose to accept the CSO position on the Nova, although Charlie would not be with them. They all attended the celebration held for the new ship but then parted ways, CJ staying with his mother on the USS Nova.

Her first mission aboard the USS Nova sent them with a flotilla, to investigate a star system that seemingly “just appeared.” After arriving, they discovered a new race that seemed to be from the alternative world the USS Gettysburg had recently visited. They called themselves Gondwanan. Their appearance was something akin to a lobster. First contact procedures were implemented immediately. In the midst of the mission, a new ship joined our flotilla. We soon found out that Commander Yvette was being promoted and became the Commanding Officer of this ship, the USS Philadelphia. As our flotilla continued talks with the Gondwanans, it was discovered that they had a strange mutation with some of their race. This mutation made some of them very aggressive. The Gondwanan government (a monarchy) eventually agreed to allow us to investigate this mutation. Unfortunately the mutated beings launched a beam towards the Nova, and were successful in striking it and essentially knocking it out of commission. The Nova was evacuated to other ships in the flotilla, including the USS Pegasus. Eventually, Judith was reunited with her son CJ on the Pegasus. After the mission had completed, Commander Ristone was promoted to CO of the Pegasus and asked Judith to transfer to the Pegasus, which, after some thinking, she agreed to.

The next mission sent the USS Pegasus to the Carraya System to investigate a distress call. Once in the system, the Pegasus was attacked by an unusual weapon emitting an EM-type field which limited the ship’s communications and sensors. Eventually, the Pegasus was forced in two pieces. The Pegasus’s bridge was soon boarded by a group of Klingon’s demanding surrender. Judith watched as Captain Ristone was thrown like a rag doll across the bridge, towards the science station. She stayed silent, trying to protect the captain along with her science officer, Lieutenant Robinson, at first. But couldn’t stay silent long and fired upon the Klingon’s after deciding she needed to do something before they were lost. Once the Klingon’s were fired upon, they exploded uncharacteristically, and sent body shrapnel everywhere. Other Pegasus crew finally fired upon the Klingon’s and after an exhausting battle for everyone, defeated them off the bridge. The injured were taken to sickbay, Judith finally excusing herself as well. Once Judith was in sickbay, she nearly collapsed. A medical officer named G-36 began treatment, soon discovering that the fluids that had sprayed from the Klingon’s bodies were acidic of some sort and Judith’s system was attacked. She did survive, although her heart had been rebuilt with these foreign bodies from the Klingon’s. Judith decided against a heart transplant though, as the doctor’s were convinced after observation, that she was fine.

The Pegasus limped slowly to Starbase Delta, where the crew enjoyed a six week shore leave. Judith stayed busy, catching up with her son CJ, whom she had left behind during the last mission. After some time on Delta, Judith mustered the courage to return to her home and introduce her son to her parents and siblings. This visit took a lot out of her, as her parents began making demands she quit the federation. She attended lectures while on earth. This kept her busy and before long, she was recalled back to the USS Pegasus before getting to see Charlie.
