A temporal vortex is an artificially-generated rift in the space-time continuum, allowing for travel between one point in time to another.
Documented Events
- 2368: Devidians created a temporal vortex in order to travel to Earth's past, with the intention of harvesting Human neural energy to feed off of.
- 2373: A Borg vessel used a temporal vortex to conquer Earth in the year 2063, thus altering the future.
- Captain Picard and the USS Enterprise E crew were able to pursue the Borg, and preserve the timeline.
