San-Tarah

San-Tarah is the sixth planet in a binary star system in the Kavrot sector of the Alpha Quadrant.

Surrounded with subspace eddies, it is also rich in many mineral resources, including kellinite, koltanium, and uridium. The planet is the homeworld of the pre-warp people known as the Children of San-Tarah, which voluntarily joined the Klingon Empire in 2376.

At an unknown time in the planet's history, a battle took place in orbit. The combatants used subspace weaponry, which led to the creation of the subspace eddies that encompass the planet. These eddies mask the planet from long-range sensors and disabled certain technology, such as disruptors. They can also cause significant damage to a ship that drifted too close.
