Personal History

Aragorn is the love child of a Klingon trapped for a week with a Vulcan who was undergoing pon farr. His birth was no secret to the families as both sides wanted to take the new born to their respective cultures. G'dor however was the first to take action and decide as the father he will keep the child on Vulcan and to be raised by both his mother and his father alone and decide logically what would be the best course of action. A mutual human friend who was a Star Fleet Medical Officer suggested that the child be given a human like name as to make sure that there is no preference to either parent. When examined by her; both parents saw that while the child would be physically Klingon with the exception of the pointed ears, his brain was predominately Vulcan. In deciding a name, the Doctor suggested Aragorn Revan, which was two random names she thought of at the top of her head.

Throughout his childhood, he would spend half his day with his father and the other half with his mother, commuting daily between a nearby Star Base and Vulcan using that time to eat and have “to himself.” This pattern went on for the first years of his life, 5 days a week. When he was tested on Vulcan in all areas of knowledge, he used his warrior training to focus his mind further and perform just as well as the other Vulcan children. When he was tested as a warrior, he used his logic to take the advantage of a fight and conquer his opponent. The weekends were his only reprieve from the constant training and learning, and those were the only times he spent with his only friend, his half sister D'nara from his mother's side. While at first she refused to acknowledge Aragorn's existence, she concluded that while their mother gave him knowledge and his father gave him power, she gave him control. The two would often “play” by means of competing in games of logic, even though she had no superior training over him. Over the span of his young adult life, the two formed a bond as close to siblings as they could get. When their Master noticed that Aragorn had the ability to be telepathic, he also noticed that due to his Klingon genetics he had a very limited mind-meld capability. After years of training, the most he could do was mind-meld with a fellow Vulcan, but even then it was hard to keep the bond formed.

When the day finally came to when he was 18, he was offered admission to Star Fleet Academy. His training and his full time devotion to his studies led him to double major in Science and Engineering even though he volunteered for the Marine track. He logically assumed that if he is going to be a Marine, he will make sure that he can use his degrees to fulfill the role as a combat engineer, which was the first place he went to. Aragorn graduated from the Academy and he was sent straight into his unit as a platoon commander of Engineers aboard Star Base Alpha. While his Klingon side made him Warrior amongst Marines, his Vulcan side never stopped wanting to learn. During his down time, he continued taking classes as well as taking as many Science and Engineering extension courses as he could. By the time he was promoted to First Lieutenant, he made a name for himself in the Science and Engineering departments for being one of the only Marines to volunteer his downtime to low-key projects. When he was promoted to Marine Captain, he had completed his Masters program in Engineering, specifically Aerospace. His education started to make him an asset to Star Fleet as he gained numerous certifications in Computer Forensics, Forensic Science and Engineering as well as a Pilot's license for shuttles. When he learned that there was no further promotion opportunity within the Fleet, he turned his focus to R&D. With his background, he received orders to pack his things and head to R&D after only one meeting with the Deputy Director.

His time in R&D served him greatly and he never expected to have so much freedom in terms of being able to learn. With a desk job, he saw that he was able to attend night school to further extend his studies. His broad background and his refusal to say in 1 area for more than 3 years at a time earned him more rank to the point where he was leading whole teams in the Testing department with his promotion to Major. During his off time, he finally earned his Doctorate degree in Engineering and by the time he was a Lieutenant Coronal Aragorn was assigned to be the new Deputy Director of R&D. It didn't take him too long of a time to adjust to the new administrative position as he still found himself always keeping up with his work and working closely with Star Fleet Corps of Engineers as well as the Star Fleet Science Institute. Many times he served as the primary “ambassador” as it were to the Vulcan Science Institute. He used that time to visit his mother and father who surprisingly enough are still in a quazi-marriage situation. In a sense it didn't make logical sense, but Aragorn's Klingon half knew that it would probably never make logical sense.

During the Romulan War, R&D had to keep the pace in order to made new weapons and new vehicles for the Corps to use. During a trip to the front lines, he was able to get his first taste of blood. His ship was ambushed by Romulans and was boarded by them. His training paid off as he was able to make quick work out of them. The fact that he was a Klingon was enough, but also his Vulcan mind made him even more lethal. After the war's conclusion, people transferred in and out of R&D and now Coronal Aragorn Revan was making sure that R&D did not slow down and they went right back to work, now with the lessons of war freshly seeded in their brains. Aragorn kept on learning and on a cold Mars day he got three things in the mail. The first was a letter from his sister saying that she's coming down to visit him. The second was his notice that his sister would be staying with him in his home as a liaison between SFSI and SFMC The last was his new orders, a temporary assignment as acting Director of R&D.
