Orelious IX
Orelious IX was the planetary site of the "Battle of Orelious IX" in the 14th century.
Orelious IX, the ninth planet in its star system, was located on the cusp of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. This world was the site of the last battle between the Promellians and the Menthars. The battle saw the planet reduced to asteroids, and eventually, the mutual extinction of both civilization.
In 2366, the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D was exploring the asteroid remains of the planet, and discovered a long-dead Promellian battle cruiser. It was trapped among a field of "aceton assimilators", which were primitive generators able to drain power from distant sources. They could be easily modified to convert energy into radiation. During their investigation, the Enterprise was caught up in the booby trap, and decided to destroy the trap once they exited.
In 2396, the Klingon Defense Force's Seventh Fleet was sent to the system and destroyed a Nausicaan base in the asteroid belt. After that, the Klingons picked off every escaping Nausicaan vessel.
