Murasaki 312, also known as the Murasaki Quasar, is a quasar-like nebula cloud located in the Alpha Quadrant.
History
- In 2267, this quasar ionized an entire sector, including four star systems.
This quasar, and others like it, generate what was henceforth known as the "Murasaki Effect."
- In 2328, this was the destination for passengers traveling from Midos V Satellite City Spaceport via commercial transport.
- In 2367, the Enterprise-D was able to conduct a long range sensor scan of the Murasaki Quasar.
