Personal History

Matthew Hennessey was born in New York, New York on July 31st to Alicia and Walter Hennessey. His mother was a nurse at Bellevue Hospital and his father was an NYPD detective with the Major Case Squad. He attended grammar and high school in New York, but deciding to enlist in Star Fleet Security at the age of 18. He was the first person in his family to join Star Fleet – his cousin joined Star Fleet as a doctor about five years later.

Matthew completed his basic Security training at NS Great Lakes in Chicago and was promoted to the rank of Crewman Recruit. Soon thereafter, he was assigned as a security guard to the USS Farragut, NCC-60597. After serving aboard the Excelsior-class starship for four years and reaching the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class, Hennessey transferred to the USS Lexington, NCC-61832.

Four years later, Matthew was promoted to the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class and assigned to the USS Zhukov, NCC-62136 at the onset of the First General War. After the First General War ended four years later, Matt was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and assigned as the Master At Arms (MA) for the USS Aberdeen, FF-6001, a new Berlin Class frigate.

Hennessey served on the frigate for ten years during which time he was promoted to Senior Chief and Master Chief. Personnel Command reassigned him to the USS Titan as the Chief of the Boat shortly as she was commissioned.

After several stints on the USS Titan, he transferred with most of the senior staff to the newly commissioned USS Ticonderoga, CA-1471, the Federation’s newest heavy cruiser where he now serves as Tico's Chief of the Boat
