Personal History
Carol’s mom and dad are both professors at the University of Colorado. They raised their family in Colorado Springs, CO. Carol is the middle child in the family, between Betsy and Jacob. Her parents always talked about the importance of school and sent them to private schools. They did allow the children to attend the school of their choice, and they all chose different schools. Betsy stayed close to home and attended the Fountain Valley School of Colorado, Carol attended Villanova in California, and Jacob attended Cranbrook in Michigan. The family kept in touch throughout the school year, calling on each other during the good and tough times in school. Both parents were very supportive of their children, but demanded excellence in school. Summers were spent together traveling throughout the states. Betsy followed their parents into the teaching field and is now happily married and teaching in Colorado Springs. Jacob is attending the University of Colorado, studying criminal law. Carol never had too much difficulty in school but tended to be much more lax in her studies. After taking astronomy, she found herself very interested in space and gathered some information about Star Fleet. She found herself spending much of her time visiting libraries and planetariums.
After convincing her mom and dad to let her enroll in Star Fleet Academy, she began her career. The academy was definitely one of fun for Carol, especially her first year! She met several people and attended many “get-togethers” as she would tell her parents. Due to this, she forgot what she was there for and was almost dismissed from the academy. Due to her parents and instructors, her second year was much more focused. She met Ian Brooks, who was just about to complete his training in tactics. It was Ian that turned Carol to studying tactics, especially piloting. Instructors were on Carol’s case frequently, usually for being too reckless and aggressive in her skills. Unfortunately for the instructors, she did graduate, and she did so at the top of her class
