Personal History
Childhood
Robin is the only child of Garry and Jennifer Golden. Both his parents served on the USS Sidney. His father was Chief Security Officer and his mother was the Chief Medical Officer.
While he was attending school on the ship he got into many fights with the children because of his name. His father decided to teach him how to control his anger with jujitsu. After sometime Robin had learned to ignore the other children's insults and all but one left him alone.
John Mugg was the only child that continued to torment Robin. One day after class John cornered Robin and started a fight in which Robin used the fighting techniques his father taught him to defend himself but he let his anger get the best of him and he broke Johns arm to make an example of him. A few weeks later John and his family transferred to another ship.
Teenage years
When Robin was thirteen he went to Montana with a group of his friends for camping for the week. While there he ran into John both apologized for what happen when they were younger and John joined Robin and his friends for the week.
While he was camping his parents were killed on an away mission, that was a trap set by Romulans (see:Romulan). The Romulans faked a distress call luring the Sidney into a trap. When the Sidney arrived the Romulans attacked them and during the battle most of the crew of the Sidney were killed along with his mother. The Captain and his father were taken prisoner and both tortured to death. When Robin received the news John asked his father if Robin could live with them, his father agreed.
Academy
During the his time at the Academy he majored in Security and Tactical procedures. He also minored in hand to hand combat, engineering and flight. He also spent most of his time studying battle techniques and ship design of the Romulans. He also became close friends with one of his instructors Morath who taught him how to fight like a Klingon and taught him how to speak Klingon. He was one of the top students in all of his class, and with the training from Morath he learned to control his fears. Even though him and John had become friends they did not see much of each other during their time at the academy.
Post Academy (USS Titan)
After graduating from the Academy Robin was assigned to the USS Titan along with his friend Jintana. His first mission aboard the Titan had put Robin's skills to the test they were sent to help with an evacuation, but a convoy was under attack from Nausicaans. A small group of Nausicaan's were able to beam aboard Robin and a small security force were able to stop them, but not with out loses.
The next mission was devastating for Robin he watched from the bridge of the ship as SB18 was destroyed by an unknown enemy. All Robin could think of at the time was the death of his parents.
