Ficus sector

The Ficus sector is a region of space in or near Federation territory, and is the location of the Bringloid star system.

During the early 22nd century, two Earth colonies were established in this sector, on the planets Bringloid V and Mariposa.

Following the evacuation of the colony on Bringloid in 2365, the two colonies were reunited.

• The joint colony then became known as the United Ficus Colony.

Federation Encounters

In 2123, the SS Mariposa launched from Earth, on a colonization mission to the Ficus sector. After traveling for decades, the Mariposa reached Bringloid V, where the first of two colonies were established. Soon after, the Mariposa crashed on the planet they would call Mariposa, and the survivors established the second colony.

Until 2365, the United Federation of Planets had no records of any Earth colonies in this sector. Starbase 73 picked up a distress call, and the USS Enterprise-D was sent to investigate.

The call came from the colonists on Bringloid V, and they were evacuated. They were delivered to Mariposa, where the two colonies were reunited.
