Daled IV

Daled IV is the inhabited fourth planet of its star system, and is the homeworld for a species of shapeshifters known as Allasomorphs.

This planet is fairly unique, is that it rotates only once per revolution around its primary star. This means that one side of the planet is constantly light, and on the other side is constantly dark.
Disparate (opposite) cultures evolved in each hemisphere, resulting in a civil war that has lasted for the entirety of the planet's recorded history.

The troposphere of the planet distorts normal communications signals, and as such, requires a lot of energy to penetrate. In addition, the environment is hostile to humanoid lifeforms.

This planet has at least three moons. Its third moon is inhabited, and similar in appearance to Earth's moon, Luna.

Fun Fact:

In 2365, the Enterprise D transported a young to-be leader to her homeworld, with her people's hopes that she would bring peace.
