An Allasomorph is an anthropomorphic, shapeshifting species capable of altering its molecular structure into that of other species.
They were once thought to be only rumor, but have been documented since encountering the crew of the USS Enterprise-D in 2365.
The inhabitants of both Daled IV and its moons are collectively known as Allasomorphs.
Choosing to be humanoid in appearance around other humanoids, these Alpha Quadrant natives are able to enjoy humanoid foods,
require sleep, and can become infected with certain sickness that ail other humanoids.
Known History
As of the mid-2360s, there were no formal relations between the Daled IV and the Federation.
The only information known to date was that the planet was tidally locked, which gave way to constant fighting between the two hemispheres.
In 2365, the USS Enterprise-D was sent to help broker peace between the two hemispheres of their planet.
A young woman born from families from each section of the world was set to be an ambassador to both, and hopefully bring about peace.
It is unknown how long it took this woman to bring peace to the world, or if the world even today is fully at peace.
While on board the Enterprise, she and her caretaker held humanoid forms, as to not upset the crew.
Note: In the mirror universe, these were commonly referred to as "Daledians."
- By the 2340s, the mirror Daledians were concerned about the activities of the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, and wanted to see it destabilized.
