Johnny had his first trip through the Gamma Quadrant that started off very interesting. Communications were being blocked and The Sheridan was forced into a standoff with The Gettysburg. After what seemed like hours, contact was made and communications were restored. Then the Shard showed up and they proceeded to pound The Sheridan and Gettysburg with their superior weaponry and defensive capabilities. The Sheridan had no choice but to withdraw through the Wormhole but their path was blocked by a giant Shard Mother ship. The Sheridan was going to need more power to make it to the Wormhole so it was determined that we could "daisy chain" all of the Sheridan's shuttle craft together and route them into the main power grid. It was a successful venture, but there were some bumps in the road. Byron was verbally provoked to attack fellow Engineer Jeff Anderson. It then appeared Byron was also being attacked by Ensign O'Halloran so Blade intervened and kicking O'Halloran in the head knocking him unconscious, yet Johnny did stop Byron's attack on Anderson. Johnny had heard the verbal abuse Anderson had been giving Byron during his time on board. Johnny didn't mind Anderson finally getting what was coming to him. Needless to say Security intervened and threw Byron in the brig and Blade returned to the bridge to see the Jem'Hadar Battleships actually breaking through the Shard's defenses. The Shard withdrew and The Sheridan zipped back through the wormhole after having a brief conversation with the Jem'Hadar. As for the shuttle bay incident an investigation was conducted, and all charges were dismissed.

The crew arrived on Starbase Alpha for shore leave. Johnny headed to the Tribble to get away and clear his mind. As he sat at the bar alone, a beautiful lady dressed in black came in the sat with a member of the Gettysburg's crew, Argent Merawdr. Johnny sent them drinks and joined them. It seemed like it was going to be a normal evening, until Byron showed up from the brig and the lady dressed in black, whom would be the Sheridan's new Chief Science Officer, decided it was time for a bar fight. During the melee, Johnny was stabbed in the side by a large, bladed object and was rushed to Sickbay. After surgery, he was reunited with everyone and this is when he became very close to Cleo Banks. He found a comfort in her he had never felt before in his life, but of course there were complications - a love triangle with his Chief Tactical Officer. Johnny kept his distance and gave Cleo the time she needed to make her own decisions. Near the end of shore leave Johnny had been spending his day off drinking. He accidently stumbled onto a holodeck where Cleo and Jason were spending time together. He tried to not make a scene so he just left, and then drunkingly stumbeld onto another holodeck where Byron was having dinner with a fellow engineer. Finally once Johnny made it to an empty holodeck where he just wanted peace and quiet everyone followed him into his program. Tempers flared, and eventually Simmons and Banks stormed off. Byron and Crewman Ellings assisted Johnny back to his quarters so he could sleep it off.

Personal History

Johnny Waylon (J.W.) Blade was born in Memphis, TN, on July 8, to Randall and Tammy Blade. Johnny Blade did not see much of his father in his younger years as his father was independent developer for phaser technology that he sold to the highest bidder. There was also a considerable amount of Black Market trading going on which Johnny was introduced to at a young age by his brother and father. This led to the death of Johnny's brother, and Johnny obtaining a large amount of enemies. He knew he had to pull away from his lifestyle, or it would lead to his demise as well. Johnny pulled away from his father and along with his best friend Avery Stewart started writing and performing music and traveling all over the Southeast United States. Johnny's mother made it known that he got all his musical talent from his father whom was a very talented blues guitarist. Johnny and Avery were making a name for themselves, but it was making it a lot easier for Johnny's enemies to find him. Many attempts were made on Johnny's life due to his father's black market tactics and dealings. Avery suggested Johnny join Starfleet and Johnny asked his father for a favor. Johnny's father had some connections with the higher ups in Starfleet and he called in one last favor and Johnny was able to join the Starfleet Academy.

Being dubbed a Jack of all trades but a master of none, he never really excelled in one particular area, but remained very versatile and could adapt to any situation. Blade began to gain more and more confidence as he scored exceptionally well on a majority of all entrance exams into the Academy. In the back of his mind he knows this confidence could get him into trouble...

USS Sheridan - Assistant Chief Tactical Officer

Johnny had his first trip through the Gamma Quadrant that started off very interesting. Communications were being blocked and The Sheridan was forced into a standoff with The Gettysburg. After what seemed like hours, contact was made and communications were restored. Then the Shard showed up and they proceeded to pound The Sheridan and Gettysburg with their superior weaponry and defensive capabilities. The Sheridan had no choice but to withdraw through the Wormhole but their path was blocked by a giant Shard Mother ship. The Sheridan was going to need more power to make it to the Wormhole so it was determined that we could "daisy chain" all of the Sheridan's shuttle craft together and route them into the main power grid. It was a successful venture, but there were some bumps in the road. Byron was verbally provoked to attack fellow Engineer Jeff Anderson. It then appeared Byron was also being attacked by Ensign O'Halloran so Blade intervened and kicking O'Halloran in the head knocking him unconscious, yet Johnny did stop Byron's attack on Anderson. Johnny had heard the verbal abuse Anderson had been giving Byron during his time on board. Johnny didn't mind Anderson finally getting what was coming to him. Needless to say Security intervened and threw Byron in the brig and Blade returned to the bridge to see the Jem'Hadar Battleships actually breaking through the Shard's defenses. The Shard withdrew and The Sheridan zipped back through the wormhole after having a brief conversation with the Jem'Hadar. As for the shuttle bay incident an investigation was conducted, and all charges were dismissed.

The crew arrived on Starbase Alpha for shore leave. Johnny headed to the Tribble to get away and clear his mind. As he sat at the bar alone, a beautiful lady dressed in black came in the sat with a member of the Gettysburg's crew, Argent Merawdr. Johnny sent them drinks and joined them. It seemed like it was going to be a normal evening, until Byron showed up from the brig and the lady dressed in black, whom would be the Sheridan's new Chief Science Officer, decided it was time for a bar fight. During the melee, Johnny was stabbed in the side by a large, bladed object and was rushed to Sickbay. After surgery, he was reunited with everyone and this is when he became very close to Cleo Banks. He found a comfort in her he had never felt before in his life, but of course there were complications - a love triangle with his Chief Tactical Officer. Johnny kept his distance and gave Cleo the time she needed to make her own decisions. Near the end of shore leave Johnny had been spending his day off drinking. He accidently stumbled onto a holodeck where Cleo and Jason were spending time together. He tried to not make a scene so he just left, and then drunkingly stumbeld onto another holodeck where Byron was having dinner with a fellow engineer. Finally once Johnny made it to an empty holodeck where he just wanted peace and quiet everyone followed him into his program. Tempers flared, and eventually Simmons and Banks stormed off. Byron and Crewman Ellings assisted Johnny back to his quarters so he could sleep it off.

A few days passed and Johnny layed low avoiding everyone. He slipped off to the Tribble and Cleo showed up and after an altercation with an ex, she ran to Johnny with tears in her eyes. They escaped to the Holodeck and it was obvious they were falling in love and it was obvious it frightened both of them to death.
