The Taurean system is an area of uncharted space. The second planet the Taurean system is home only to women.

When the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701 was investigated the system due to reports of Federation and Klingon ships disappearing every 27 years, a signal from one of the planets in the Taurean system caused the male officers to hallucinate women.
