Taresia

Taresia is the inhabited third planet in the Taresian system, located in the Delta Quadrant.
It is the homeworld of the Taresians, and the rikka flowers. It is part of a trinary star system .

According to reports from the USS Voyager, this was a Class M planet, and had a network of satellites capable of projecting a high-density polaron grid around the planet, which blocks communications.

The Taresians, humanoids with slight red spotting around their hairlines, are 90% female.

• Forced to alter the DNA of males of other species in order to propagate their own, the target males become Taresian themselves, with a genetic homing beacon to travel to the planet.
• Unfortunately, the amount of DNA removed in the mating will kill the unsuspecting target male.

For unexplained reasons, the Taresians are at war with the nearby Nasari.
Despite the Nasari being quite powerful, Taresian ships are quite capable of holding them off.
