Starbase 12 is a Federation starbase, located in sector 25712 of the Alpha Quadrant.
One function of this starbase is to act as a patrol base for starships patrolling the Romulan Neutral Zone.
Established as an orbiting command post in 2163, it mainly serves as a test of Starfleet's long-range construction abilities.
- In 2366, the USS Enterprise-D underwent a one-week refit at this base.
Located close to Ceti Alpha V and Risa, this base also is charted with investigating unexplained phenomena in sector 25712 and its surrounding areas.
