Personal History

Born on a Federation colony, Savar grew up with the other children and attended a Federation school. His early childhood was uneventful apart from making a few friends with the other children. The town where they lived on the colony was small and all the people were very friendly and supportive of each other.

During his early teen years he showed a distinctly easygoing nature. His teachers commented on this to his parents, but they replied it was just his nature.

However his life on the colony wasn’t to last as his parents had to return to Trill. His father having been offered a position within the Trill Science Ministry. Savar was not happy at having to leave his friends behind, but he had no choice in the matter.

Once back on Trill, Savar learned of the history of his people and the symbiotic relationship they could have. Savar investigated the aspects of this symbiotic relationship and the rigorous requirements, he decided that this was not the path for him. His parents tried to talk to him about the benefits of the relationship but he had made his decision that living with a symbiote was not for him.

He had spent his first 16 years as a Federation citizen and felt that he needed to somehow repay this kindness that the Federation colonists had shown him and his family. With his parents blessing he therefore applied to join Starfleet Academy when he was 18.

He was accepted into Starfleet Academy and this began his career in Starfleet. He spent the first year of the academy drifting along trying to find his place in Starfleet. However a chance encounter with another Cadet changed his approach to life. Before he had been happy to coast along with no real direction but his new friend changed him.

Cadet Shirley-Anne Swanson was aiming her specialities towards science and history. It was then that Savar realised that he quite liked history and chose to follow the scientists path. There friendship grew as the years at the Academy passed. After graduation they had to say their goodbyes as they were to be posted to different ships.

Thanks to Shirley-Anne’s gentle guidance Savar had been given a gentle kick to get organised and focus on what he wanted from life.

Assignment: USS Philadelphia FF-6053 “Is Anybody Out There?” [Stardate 21012.24]

Mission 1 "Is Anybody Out There?"

Having graduated the Academy Feyil's first assignment was to serve on the USS Philadelphia. He was being transported on the USS Pegasus when he was called into service before he was expecting it. The USS Pegasus had received word that the USS Nova had been disabled and they were to provide rescue and support to the Nova's evacuation.

Feyil then transfered across to the Philadelphia to take up his duties as part of the Science Team. His first mission as part of the team was to undertake research on a disease that had been plaguing the Gondwanans. Feyil had made some progress on his own investigations when they were recalled to the ship.

Sunrise Over Carraya

Mission 2 "Sunrise over Carraya"

The ship was called to assist with an attack on Carraya. Feyil spent most of his time in Science during the mission and was there when Klingons boarded the ship. Some serious damage was done to the ship and the Science Lab leading Feyil to start reconsidering his choice of specialisation within Starfleet and if he even wanted to continue.

Assignment: USS Philadelphia FF-6053 “Here or There” [Stardate 21106.09]

Mission 3 "Here or There"

The ship was dispatched to Dvorak where an Iconian gateway was discovered on the planet. Unfortunately for Feyil there was an outbreak of Vegan Choriomeningitis which Feyil contracted. Feyil spent his time confined to Sickbay. One of the side-effects was that he suffered temporary hearing loss but otherwise he fully recovered. His time in Sickbay allowed him plenty of opportunity to think about his future with Starfleet and the career path he wanted to take.

Assignment: USS Philadelphia FF-6053 “Theft of the Chin’toka” [Stardate 21201.21]

Mission 4 "Theft of the Chin'toka and re-assignment"

Feyil was present when the newest ship to the fleet the USS Chin'toka was stolen. The bigger problem that Feyil found out was that most of the Captains of the other fleet ships were onboard the Chin'toka at the time of the theft. Feyil was assigned to assist in the Philadelphia's Obeservation Lounge which had been temporarily converted with extra consoles to allow strategies to be developed to get the Chin'toka back. With the theft of the Chin'toka and the kidnapping of Captain Yvette, this meant Feyil could not speak to the Captain about his possible transfer of departments to Engineering. He did get the opportunity to observe Lieutenant Codey in action and work alongside him. This served to reinforce Feyil's desire to transfer to Engineering. Upon his return to Delata, Feyil began the process of transferring over to Engineering. This included attendance at orientation courses for those transferring to Engineering.

Prime Defective

Feyil was assigned to an away team to gather information on the Staarac, a race who lived in the Stoorc system. They were thought to be responsible for an attack on the USS Halifax. Feyil underwent a procedure along with other crew members so that the looked like the Staarac and could move freely among them. Feyil was part of an away team sent to investigate a space station. During the mission the Krynar entered the system and they were forced to flee.

Enemy of my Enemy

For his next mission Feyil was serving onboard the Chin'toka on the mission to Mericor. The system was inhabited by the Borg. The Chin'toka was invited by the Borg to approach the planet. Once at the planet the Borg beamed aboard and that was when Feyil was one of the first crew members to be assimilated. Then the Krynar entered the system and the Borg realised that they needed the Chin'toka to defeat them. More crew members were assimilated into the Mericor Collective and the Chin'toka battled the Krynar. Feyil was left with bad dreams due to his time as a drone. He was fortunate in that he had only minimal Borg enhancements, so the physical effects were limited. The psychological effects left him isolating away from the rest of the crew.

USS Chin'toka, "Duogravitics"

Feyil was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. And involved with the testing of a new prototype. The test of the prototype subjected the Chin'toka to some weird effects. Feyil ended up being sick and knocked unconscious due to the weapons effects.
