Personal History
When Kaitlin was a child, she loved spending time with her father learning mathematics. It was a way for her to spend time with her father and get praised for her succcesses. Her mother was busy alot during her childhood. She would be called in alot and be busy with the hospital she worked at so her father was the person she could rely on and turn to. When she went to high school she found that she enjoyed learning about engineering mainly because the enjoyment of maths gave her an advantage when studying engineering.
When she finished school she applied to Starfleet academy to become an engineer, knowing that it was the best place that she could use her abilities.
