| Status of Parents: | Siral and Coran Neludy settled on New Britannia Colony shortly before Jaina’s birth. It was during this time that Coran began his work in Nanotechnology. Coran believed he could find a way to alter Borg Nanoprobes to not assimilate the subject but to heal and regenerate damaged limbs. His work was purely theoretical as working with Borg Technology was prohibited to civilians. Siral, after the birth of her daughter Jaina became a schoolteacher on New Britannia. During this time Coran spent much of his time in his lab running simulations so Jaina would go to the school with her mother. They are both still alive and well on New Britannia Colony and Jaina tries to keep in contact with them. | ||

Personal History
Jaina was born at New Britannia Colony to Siral and Coran Neludy. New Britannia Colony was mainly settled by people from England and as such Jaina speaks with a slight english accent. During her formative child years Jaina spent many a day at the local school with her mother. On her fifth birthday she received a domestic short hair feline for a pet, she named it Mr. Fluffykins. There was little to do on the colony aside from studying and reading. Jaina developed a love of Astronomy and how planets interacted with each other when she received a telescope on her tenth birthday.
When Jaina was eleven her pet Mr. Fluffykins managed to escape the house, Jaina and her family did not notice until the next day that Mr. Fluffykins was missing. They just assumed that he was hiding somewhere. It was Jaina who unfortunately had found Mr. Fluffykins the next street over he had been killed by one of the rovers the colony used to transport goods. She could never forgive herself as she was the one who had left the door open on that fateful day.
With her trusty PADD in hand Jaina would venture out every night to observe celestial bodies and chart their movements. It was during the year of her sixteenth birthday that the captain of a visiting starship was at New Britannia and at his urging she applied to take the Starfleet Academy Entrance Exam. The following year she was accepted at Starfleet Academy to begin her career among the stars that she so admired since she was a child.

Friends: Jaina first met Kara Lestor when she arrived at The Academy. This was Jaina’s first time on Earth and Kara had seen the confusion on her face and took Jaina under her wing. During their second year at The Academy Jaina and Kara trained for The Academy marathon. During the last leg of the marathon Kara fell and broke her ankle, rather than finish the race Jaina stopped to get medical help for Kara. That event cemented their friendship. Kara left The Academy in her third year, Jaina was despondent and almost left The Academy herself. Kara explained that the rigours of a career in Starfleet simply weren’t for her and that Jaina was meant for Starfleet.

Most Painful Experience: When Mr. Fluffykins managed to escape the house and got run over by a colony vehicle.
Best Time: Acceptance into Starfleet Academy, being able to make a difference with doing what she loves
