Maranga IV is an M-class planet in the Maranga system, near the Klingon-Federation border. The fourth planet is also the site of a Klingon outpost.
In 2370, the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D visited Maranga IV to attend a Kot'baval Festival, which honored the defeat of the tyrant Molor by Kahless the Unforgettable in single combat.
While on the surface, Security Chief Worf was seemingly attacked by forces loyal to the House of Duras.
