The Kellerun are a humanoid species native to the Alpha Quadrant.
In 2370, the war between the Kellerun and their neigboring enemies, the T'Lani, ended. The war had been marked by the use of a deadly chemical, known as the Harvester weapon. Both sides were determined to keep the hard fought peace they now enjoyed and decided to remove all records of the virus. This meant killing the scientists who designed it and two Star Fleet officers, Chief Miles O'Brien and Doctor Julian Bashir, from Deep Space 9, who had been sent to help to destroy the last vials of the virus. Fortunately, the two were rescued by the crew of Deep Space 9 before the T'Lani and the Kellerun could kill them.
