Duritanium (or spelling duratanium) is a type of alloy used in construction.
Uses:
- Federation medical tricorders are designed with a duritanium casing.
- In 2151 the Enterprise used raw duritanium and dilithium ore in its construction.
- Shuttlepod hatches were reinforced with duritanium alloy
- A repurposed Cardassian weapon, named "Dreadnought" by the Maquis, was composed primarily of duritanium polyalloy
- Few weapon types were capable of damaging a spacecraft with a duritanium hull to its large extent
- A primary test chamber constructed to house the Omega molecule was protected by a door constructed of solid duritanium that was thirteen centimeters thick
- A containment loss caused the door and door frame to melt
