Tranquility Base is a location on Luna. In 1969, the area was the site of the first Human moon landing.
Tranquility Base was named by Astronauts Aldrin and Armstrong, and first announced by Armstrong when the Lunar Module Eagle landed.
- On July 20th, 1969, Tranquility Base was the landing site for NASA's Apollo 11 mission, where Humans first stepped foot on Earth's moon.
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin explored the site, collecting rock samples and conducting experiments.
