Thasus

Thasus is the homeworld for the Thasians, a non-corporeal species.

Sensor probes of this planet reveal it to be uninhabitable for humanoids, with little or no edible vegetation. It is classified as Class L.

Also called Thasus IV, it is located on the edge of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, at spatial coordinates 6.02S 5.07E.

Prior to the 2250s, Federation surveys reported some highly sophisticated artifacts located on the surface. Surveys also indicated that planetary conditions hadn't changed for at least three million years. Scientists deduced that the Thasians had thrived on the planet millennia ago.

In 2252, a transport ship crashed on Thasus, with a young boy (Charlie Evans) as the only survivor. In order to keep the boy alive, the native people of this world cared for him the only way they knew how, granting him their psychokinetic abilities. In 2266, the boy escaped from Thasus on a Federation starship. The Thasian powers bestowed upon the human proved to be too much for him to handle without being dangerous to himself and others, and so his adopted family took him back.

By 2304, Thasus was under full Federation quarantine.
