Star Base 14 is a Federation star base, located near the planet Styris IV.
Historical significance
The response to an outbreak of a deadly plague on that planet was coordinated from here in 2364. It monitored the advance of the plague and liaised with the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D, which was attempting to obtain a vaccine from Ligon II.
