Squadron Leader

Squadron Leader is a mid-level position for Star Fleet Officers on board Starships (specifically Carriers, Starbases and Planetary Installations. They are in charge of a single unit of small-craft pilots, their craft, flight plans and training, and have a moderate input to battle strategy. Squadron Leaders usually hold the rank of at least Lieutenant or Marine Captain and report directly to the Commander, Air Group (CAG). If there is no CAG aboard, the Squadron Leader reports to the Chief Tactical Officer.
