Descended from a race of saber-toothed turtles, this peaceful reptilian species can be anywhere from five foot nine to well over seven feet fall.
A unisex race, the eggs they lay in order to reproduce are overseen by "attendants."
These positions are seen as positions of power, and their tasks include serving, feeding and generally caring for the eggs and the young when they hatch.
Rigellians typically wear ceremonial helmets, as well as half-armor to cover the vulnerable parts of their bodies. Though they evolved from turtles, they do not have a "shell" as recognized by others, though the backside of their bodies do have thicker bones.
Those who are more affluent in their society are referred to as "Lords", although the attendants who cater to them possess the real power.
The Lords of this species are the egg carriers, and their positions of power are mainly as figureheads.
