NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, was an independent agency on Earth, responsible for one civilian space program,
as well as aeronautics and space research.
Established in 1958, with the purpose of being a distinctly civilian orientation, with which to encourage peaceful applications in space science.
NASA supported the International Space Station, and oversaw the "Launch Services Program,"
which provides oversight of launch operations and countdown management for uncrewed NASA launches.
NASA could be seen as an ancestor of the Coalition of Planets, as well as the Federation.
