Mendaissa

Mendaissa is a major colony world in the Romulan Star Empire located near the border with the Democratic Romulan Republic. Cities on Mendaissa include Davast and Steilalvh, while Memmesh is the name of a town.

In 2411, when the shockwave from a major supernova threatened to destroy Romulus, the Tal'Shiar moved its headquarters to Mendaissa while the Romulan government moved to Eilhaunn. The Tal'Shiar controlled Mendaissa and the surrounding area, running it as their own fiefdom, though officially still part of the Star Empire.

When the Fourth Romulan Civil War broke out in 2413, Hdrael 12, orbiting Mendaissa, became the main command center of the rebellion against the current Imperial government.

In 2415, forces within the Romulan Imperial Fleet and Star Fleet's 2nd Fleet conspired to bring the stalemated conflict to an end by using Captain Adaran 225 as a telepathic pawn to destroy Hdrael 12 and take out the Tal'Shiar's central command and much of its fleet. The successful action resulted in the almost complete destruction of the hdrael and serious damage to parts of the planet's surface. After the Tal'Shiar surrendered and was disbanded, the Imperial government began rebuilding efforts on the planet as well as the construction of a new starbase.
